How does it work?

• We receive referrals from money advice agencies who have prepared a financial statement with their client (money advice agencies include Citizen's Advice Bureau and Govan Money Matters).
• Once we have received your financial statement and list of creditors we will be contact your creditors and make offers of payment to them.
• You will lodge the required money in your budgeting account at Pollok Credit Union by the 15th of every month.
• Your debts will be paid to your creditors by cheque on a monthly basis.
• We will ensure that you do not have to repay more than necessary or that creditors receive more than is justified.
• You will automatically qualify for Credit Union membership thereafter and can access our full range of services.
• This service is available to workers and residents across Glasgow.
• The Budgeting Services will act as in intermediary between the client and the creditor(s). We will deal with the creditor(s) on the client's behalf.
